Reserve Bank of New Zealand Interest Rate Decision on Wednesday

The reserve bank of New Zealand will be yet another central bank to deliberate on its interest rate levels, after the ECB, BOJ and the FED.

The last time that RBNZ decided to change its interest rates was in September of 2016, lowering them to their current level of 1.75% and the current forecast is for the bank to keep them as they are, so any surprises are unlikely.

The "Kiwi economy” has thus far been relatively resilient to global trade woes, as its base inflation is currently at 1.9%, almost hitting the mark of 2%, and unemployment level is currently sitting at 4.3%.

The most volatility that can be triggered by the RBNZD's decision can be caused by potential hints in the accompanying statement, about possible future rate hikes.
